About Johnny Noodle King

Ramen Shop

Located at 2601 W Fort St, Detroit, MI 48216, Johnny Noodle King operates as a chinese noodle serving Detroit in Michigan. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Google also lists it under restaurant, which is worth knowing if you are comparing several options in the area.

Chinese restaurants in the United States range from steam-table lunch counters to white-tablecloth Cantonese seafood halls, and most fall somewhere in between: a laminated menu, a lunch special board, and combo plates priced a few dollars below the dinner menu. Ordering by number off the menu is normal and speeds things up, especially at takeout counters. Family-style ordering, where a table shares several dishes with rice rather than each person getting an individual entree, is standard at sit-down spots and usually cheaper per person. Many neighborhood restaurants are cash-preferred or charge a small card fee, so it is worth asking or checking the door before you order. Delivery apps cover most areas, but calling the restaurant directly is often faster and avoids the markup.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. Typical hours are 11 am–10 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (313) 309-7946. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is johnnynoodleking.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

Customers rate it 4.5 out of 5 on Google across 3,006 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded chinese noodles in Detroit.

Detroit is in Michigan, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Detroit follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Great vibe! Servers have an enthusiastic energy! They use the group server approach. Never a wait. Food was excellent! Ramen was amazing! Bao was very good! Highly recommended!

I visited this place because it seemed to be a popular ramen restaurant. I ordered their most popular menu item, the β€œNewer Seoul.” The flavor reminded me of a lighter version of Shin Ramyun, and it came with beef. It’s a type of ramen you wouldn’t really find in Japan. It was interesting to experience what kind of ramen is popular here.

I ordered the Tonkotsu. It was delicious. The broth was rich and the pork belly was delicious. I would recommend. I did see a lot of people ordering the bacon fried rice so I will give that a try next time.

Great place, great food! It seems like a stone hidden in the mud! The neighborhood is not very appealing but the place is cozy and the staff very attentive. My wife had a Major Tom Kotsu, delicious! It reminded me of Sopa de Lima from Merida, Great taste! I had Southwest Verde, and my mind just started nostalgia tripping! It was like taking a bite of Mole Verde from Toluca, Mexico. The pork belly Bao is mouthwatering! We will come back and taste something new, this place is now in our rotation!!! Deserves the trip from Rochester Hills!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Five Stars – Johnny Noodle King (Fort St, Detroit) We stopped into Johnny Noodle King tonight and it was absolutely outstanding. The sushi-grade mackerel was incredibly fresh and full of flavor β€” easily one of the highlights of the meal. We also tried their house sake, and they served it with the traditional overpour, which in Japanese culture is a sign of generosity. That small detail really added to the experience. The bacon fried rice was phenomenal β€” rich, perfectly cooked, and packed with flavor. Every dish we tried was excellent, and the drink menu is just as impressive as the food. The atmosphere is relaxed but vibrant, service was great, and you can tell the kitchen takes pride in what they’re doing. If you’re in Detroit and love ramen, Japanese food, or just great flavor overall, Johnny Noodle King on Fort Street is absolutely worth the visit.
